We are a liberal, inclusive church that welcomes all. We are seekers of truth and meaning in our lives who realize that there are many paths to a fulfilling spiritual life. We gather for worship each Sunday at 10 am in our Sanctuary at 66 Elm Street in Gardner, Massachusetts. The services last about an hour. After the first 15 minutes, the children are led to the Fellowship Hall for Religious Education. Childcare for babies and toddlers is arranged by request.
We welcome all people and celebrate the ways people express love for each other.
Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote Seven Principles. We also share a “living tradition” of wisdom and spirituality, drawn from many sources. The Seven Principles and Six Sources of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) grew out of the grassroots of our communities, were affirmed democratically, and are part of who we are.
At UUSG, we seek to enrich our community with love and service. Each week at our worship service, we repeat these words in affirmation of our strong belief in love and community:
Love is the spirit of this church… and service its law. This is our great covenant: to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another.
Our Sunday worship services embrace multiple religious traditions, and we seek understanding, strength, community, and the sacred together.
